<p>Grootlicht was founded in January 2000 by designer Ivo van de Grift. Ivo Domburg
joined Grootlicht early 2001. The Grootlicht designers started out in about
1998 after completing their studies at the HKA academy of fine arts in Arnhem
in The Netherlands. Grootlicht founder Ivo van de Grift was originally a teacher
of Fine Art, but found himself working with digital media more and more. Ivo
Domburg graduated from the HKA as a graphic designer before moving into web
design.<br>
<br>
The name ‘Grootlicht’ is Dutch for car headlights. It also means someone who’s
not too clever!<br>
<br>
Since January 2000 Grootlicht has produced a large number of websites, CD-ROMs,
screensavers and online presentations for a wide variety of clients. We work
directly for own clients, but also have relationships with several marketing
and advertising agencies.<br>
<br>
Since 1998 we have specialised in producing highly interactive and original
concepts using Macromedia Flash. Our artistic background and knowledge of ActionScript,
PHP and JavaScript are a powerful combination in the field of web and interactive
design.<br>
